The Charolais Festival could not continue without the many volunteers who organize it and ensure its smooth running. But without the farmers who enter their animals in the competitions, it would no longer exist either.

Florent Lachaume, 23, is part of the new generation of breeders. He works on his family farm in Vic-sous-Thil, where he farms mixed crops and livestock. Next weekend, he'll be at the Charolais festival with some of his sheep.
